JEE Main is the National Level Exam for the admission to Engineering program. As per the eligibility to take the admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs you should have minimum 75% in class 12th.

Joint Entrance Examination. ... Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It is constituted by two different examinations - JEE Main and theJEE Advanced. The exams are of the objective pattern.
Before proceeding towards filling the application form, do refer and meet the mentioned below JEE Main 2019 eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities:
Age Criteria: NTA has removed the age limit. However, candidates need to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2017, 2018 or should be appearing for the same in 2019 in irrespective of their birth date.
Qualifying Examinations: Must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam in 2017 or 2018. Also, candidates appearing for class 12 board examination in 2019 will be also eligible for JEE Main 2019.
Subjects to be Qualified in Qualifying Examination: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, Language and any other subject
Qualifying Marks for Admission into IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs: Must score the minimum of 75% marks or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category minimum scores required is 65%.
For JEE Main Paper-II- Candidates seeking admission to the architecture course must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. No Diploma holder is eligible for the entrance exam.
