As you have mentioned that in your marksheet it is written Marks statement cum Certificate so I am assuming that you belong to CBSE board , so you may note that for CBSE board both passing certificate and marksheet are the same . However for other boards this may differ and the difference lies herein :-

A Marksheet is a document issued by educational boards which contain the marks scored by you in examinations.

Whereas,

A Pass Certificate is a document issued by educational boards which states that you've cleared all your subjects and scored passing marks and now you are eligible to enroll in other institutions for degree courses.

Hope the differences are very well clear , so you must now go on and freely upload the marksheet in JoSAA counselling

• Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
• Two Passport Size Photographs identical to JEE Advanced 2020 registration
• Undertaking by the Candidate
• Proof of Seat Acceptance Fee Payment by e-challan or net banking of SBI (Rs. 15, 000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs. 35,000 for others)
• Valid Photo Identity Card
• JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card
• Date of Birth Proof (10th Standard Mark Sheet)
• 12th Standard (or equivalent) Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate
• Medical Certificate
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate for PwD (if applicable)
• Passport (for foreign nationals) of candidates & parents or OCI Certificate or PIO Card (if applicable)
• DS Certificate (if applicable)
• Registration cum Locked Choices for Seat Allotment
