You should first check the eligibility for the course of NEET UG Course -
NEET 2019 eligibility criteria is the set of norms prescribed by the conducting authority, i.e. the National Testing Agency (NTA). Conducted annually, NEET 2019 is a gateway for medical aspirants to get admission in MBBS and BDS colleges in India. Before applying for NEET 2019, candidates must ensure that they meet the NEET eligibility criteria, which may include educational qualifications, age limit, and reservation criteria. In order to be eligible for NEET 2019, candidates must qualify 12th class examination with Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English subjects. For General category candidates, it is mandatory to score 50% marks in 12th grade, whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates must score 40% marks to become eligible for NEET 2019.
Note: In order to avoid any confusion later regarding the NEET 2019 eligibility criteria, appearing candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria beforehand as candidates will not be permitted to appear for the exam if he/she fails to meet the basic NEET eligibility criteria.
Age Criteria
Minimum Age: The minimum age limit for the candidates in order to be eligible for NEET is 17 years as on or before 31st December of the admission year.
Maximum Age: The maximum age limit for reserved category candidates is 30 years whereas medical aspirants older than 25 years (belonging to General category) can apply for NEET.
Education Criteria
Candidates must have completed their 12th standard or any equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology with English from CBSE or any other state board.
Appearing candidates who are already in 12th standard can also apply for NEET, but they will have to show their passing certificates with the required percentage to take admission in medical and dental courses.
