Getting a private college with this marks is quite difficult. It depends on the number of students with lesser ranks than yours who will take admission in the private colleges. But you may get private MBBS colleges. Check the previous year cutoffs for private colleges under General category to get a better idea. You just need to go through the normal process of counselling and give preferences of colleges wisely.

You may get your desired college.

Thank you

Hello,

As you mentioned with 246 marks and general category, your chances of getting a decent government college anywhere are negligible. As your marks are too low you might not even get some private medical college.

I suggest you to go for some other course or prepare for NEET next year.

However cutoffs change every year depending upon level of toughness of exam. So hope for the best and follow the counselling process.

Hello student,

You have not mentioned which state you belong to. With a score of 246, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in any private institutes being in the general category. It also depends on the state of yours. For example, With this score, you can expect a private seat in colleges of Karnataka while it is not so in the case of states like Rajasthan for which the scores are extremely high. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection in your state
