Hi! Am pursuing B.sc biochemistry from university of Madras!after I did my ug I gonna pursue medicine through neet is this possible?
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Surely you can give the NEET exam after your UG course in Biochemistry is complete. You only need to be above 17 years of age as on the year of giving the exam. And your age should not be more than 25 years if you're an unreserved category candidate and not more than 30 years if you're a reserved category candidate.
To be providing some further information, medicine is just one subject amongst many others that is taught in MBBS. In MBBS you will need to study all the subjects in the curriculum. You can go for post graduate studies in any subject of your choice, medicine for example, provided you have the required rank in NEET PG.
Wish you all the best in all your future endeavours.
May you find success in NEET. Good luck.
Surely it is possible. You just need to complete the Eligibility Criteria of NEET UG i.e.
Qualifying Exam : 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized Board; candidates from NIOS Board are ineligible - Gap year between Class 11 and 12 is not permitted.
Minimum Age Requirement : 17 years as on December 31, 2018.
Maximum Age Limit: 25 years till date of exam for Unreserved candidates; 30 years till date of exam for Reserved category candidates
Wish you best of luck for the future Examinations. We are happy to have you on board.
With Regards
