Hey Harpreet,

Decide when you want to apply for the MEXT scholarship, for example, June 2018 or June 2019. The application procedure takes almost one year, and you can arrive in Japan in April the following year.

  • Check your level with a mock-up test
  • Start learning and preparing for each subject
  • You can find previous MEXT tests in my e-book pack
  • Aim for at least 80% score for each test
  • If necessary, hire a tutor to help you.

  • Download the forms from the Japanese Embassy’s website of your country
  • Fill out the forms
  • Work on your research plan (research students) or your 4Q (undergrad students)

KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

  • Don’t talk about your plans with people who might have a negative influence.
  • Don’t start reading negative things about other people’s experience or about how they failed. Your experience is your own.
