HI, do i need a central or state GEN-EWS certificate for cuet pg ? i already submitted my application with STATE GEN-EWS but many of the websites are saying CENTRAL .so should i get a CENTRAL EWS ? will my application will be rejected because of state ews ?
Hello Ananya,
Here’s what you need to know regarding GEN-EWS certificates for CUET PG :
- Central GEN-EWS Requirement: CUET PG and other national-level exams generally require a central GEN-EWS certificate issued as per central government norms.
- State GEN-EWS: If you have submitted a state GEN-EWS certificate, it may not be accepted unless explicitly mentioned by the conducting authority.
- Recommendation: Apply for a central GEN-EWS certificate immediately to avoid disqualification.
- Application Status: Your application may not be rejected outright but could be flagged during document verification.
- Confirmation: Check CUET PG guidelines or contact NTA directly for clarity.
Hope it helps !
For CUET PG, you need a Central EWS certificate to claim the General-EWS category reservation, not a state-level one; therefore, based on official websites' information, you should get a Central EWS certificate even if you already submitted your application with a state EWS certificate.
- Central Government Policy:
The CUET is a central level exam, and the reservation policy for EWS is based on the guidelines set by the central government, which requires a Central EWS certificate.
- Potential Issue:
While your application might not be outright rejected due to a state EWS certificate, it's best to be cautious and obtain a Central EWS certificate to avoid any potential issues during verification and submit it during form correction.
GOOD LUCK!!!
