Hi, for CSE, I have obtained a score of 674 and a rank of 970 and belong to open category. Any chance for me to get into any major or newer IIT?

Based on previous years cut offs, you might have a chance at:
NIT Rourkela: Information Security
NIT Delhi: CSE and Analytics
IIIT Allahabad: IT
SVNIT, Surat: Computer Engineering

Hello,
According to previous year cutoffs of various IITs, with 670 marks in GATE 2020 it will be very difficult to get a seat in any IITs as usually the seats of CSE are filled by 700+ marks.
Even for top NITs the cutoff were 690+.
However you might get lower ranked NITs.
This is based on previous year cutoffs and might change this year.
