Dear Student,

This is what you have to do for better preparation of NEET

  1. Know the complete syllabus.
  2. Make a timetable. Divide syllabus in such a way that you can study it whole by November 2018.
  3. Gather NCERTs and reference books to prepare for NEET 2019.
  4. Start preparing by covering theory from NCERTs first, then more on same topic from reference book.
  5. Solve multiple choice questions from reference books.
  6. Keep taking notes throughout study process.
  7. Around October, start solving previous year papers. Initially you may find them tough, but then you will get familiar.
  8. Solve mock tests, sample papers also.
  9. If you are appearing for board exams, then devote January-February for board exams also. Simultaneously keep revising and preparing.
  10. If you find any topic tough in NEET 2019 syllabus, reach out to teachers so that you can understand that topic quickly.

With still ample time remaining, students start to get lazy and procrastinate thinking they have a lot of time. It is important for candidates to lay a groundwork for achieving their goal. In order to ensure success, a combination of hard and smart work is the key. You should start channelizing your energy towards preparing for the exam. Follow these tips to ensure that you make the best of your time in the upcoming years.

hi akash you got plenty of time to prepare for your exams, i shall tell you to prepare ideally for AIIMS first

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology-aiims doesnt cover most part from ncert like how neet does, in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can

General knowledge and current affairs- read newspapers regularly, keep yourself updated always, use year books, they ll help you alot.

now to talk about NEET , just bear in mind that the difference between aiims and neet are these, in neet biology has higher weightage and most of the questions are from ncert text book, so thorough that first and there is no need to prepare for GK separately, good luck

Most Scoring concepts for NEET

This ebook serves as a valuable study guide for NEET exams, specifically designed to assist students in light of recent changes and the removal of certain topics from the NEET exam.

Download EBook
Focus on ncert textbooks which are the gold standard.

You still have time to prepare well.

Practice mcqs from any good book which has previous year question papers.

Work on time management.

Refer HC Verma for physics and textbooks for other subjects.

All the best!

Hi Akash K,

you can very easily prepare for NEET and can achieve a very good rank if you  follow the following

Here are the way how you can start studying smartly for  NEET

  • Introspect yourself :- make a checklist that what you know already and what you have to know for the NEET. Go through the syllabus once and check your level, that from where you have to start.
  • Plan the Journey :- After Introspecting, Start from the very basic and plan out the journey for the whole syllabus a set some deadline for yourself so that you can progress in a pre defined manner.
  • Never Give Up :- It is the golden rule to achieve the goal. Build up yourself and your confidence not to give up even in the hardest situation. THink positive, talk to positive people, ask queries, make mistakes and learn from all these things. Stand by your decision and motivate yourself time to time.

Here are Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET

  • Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
  • Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
  • Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
  • Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
  • Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
  • Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
  • Never give up even at your low time.
  • Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
  • Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.

All the best

Hello

Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.

Try to clock 100 hours a week.

Maintain your health

Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.

Form a study group, discuss with friends

Stay motivated.

No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.

Donot waste time, invest time.

Revisions are the most important

It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Hi Akash,

Don't worry about the exams and all too much but start your preparations from now on with grace and full sincerity, just be true to yourself and work smartly.

Here are the things that worked for me and might work for you too:

=>  Your teachers will guide you throughout the process, if you are getting some coaching and stuff; like these people will tell you lots of tips for improving your concept building, solving problems and other related things .  So don't take them as granted and complete all the assignments and test papers that they have given to solve.

=>  About the books :

NCERTs of all the subjects but please revise biology and chemistry NCERTs again and again, for physics concepts you can use HC verma and for objectives MTG publications for chemistry and biology and for physics DC pandey.

= > Prepare for all the class tests and evaluating the same so as to get idea about your weak areas and then start practising them .

If you still have any queries about this topic please let me know in comments below.

Good luck

Thanks

Try to revise as much as 50 to 60 percent of 11th in Sept to Jan especially physics and chemistry. ..bio can be compromised a bit. .as those 2 subjects make the real difference. ..

NCERT textbooks should be your mainline books. Apart from that you should concentrate on clearing your concepts. Practise physics and chemistry, for biology, read as much as possible and reproduce it.

Hello Akash,

As you said you will be attempting 2019 entrance, you must be in 11 std...so you will be attempting NEET UG 2019 , which is around1 yr and 5 months from now...so you have to make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....you have to devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation

Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.

BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so don't go by all books mentioned here and there

KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books

Biology -

Truemans Biology Vol. 1 & 2

Objective Biology by Dinesh

Pradeep Publications Biology

Physics -

Concept of physics by H C Verma

Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep

Objective physics by DC Pandey

Chemistry -

Arihant Organic Chemistry

Dinesh Chemistry Inorganic

Physical Chemistry by O P Tandon

Objective NCERT at your fingertips Chemistry by MTG

Hope this helps!....BEST OF LUCK
