Majoring in statistics is in demand in business, industry, research and government. In business and industry, statisticians are involved in quality control, reliability, product development and improvement, plus delivery and marketing processes. Statisticians may also manage assets and liabilities, determining the risks and returns of certain investments. Statisticians are employed by nearly every government department and in many scientific, medical, environmental, defence and agricultural agencies.
Also majoring in Physics as physicists late on , you can come across careers in many industries in both the public and private sectors. Many physicists are employed by governments in research and management positions; by universities in the areas of teaching, research and technical positions; as education and science communicators; in health and medical sectors; and in nuclear physics. In other words, you can have lot of options and it also depends upon your interest and calibre.
