Hi I am a first year student currently pursuing BMLT from a government college and my ultimate goal is to be a doctor so am I eligible for neet UG exam while doing BMLT.

Hello there,

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the NEET UG exam while pursuing BMLT .

Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG

  • Qualification: You must have passed 12th with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) with the required percentage (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 50% for General).

  • Age: You must be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the admission year . There is no upper age limit .

  • Attempts: No attempt limit for NEET UG.

Since you are in first year of BMLT , you can continue your NEET preparation alongside your studies and attempt the exam in the coming years. If you qualify, you can leave BMLT and join MBBS .

Being a BMLT student does not affect your eligibility for NEET UG. You can apply if you meet the required criteria, including completing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with fulfilling the age requirements. Your BMLT studies do not interfere with your NEET UG qualification.
