hi i am a pondicherry resident...is it easy to get medical seat in tamilnadu government medical colleges???
Priya, you haven't mentioned your Category. If you have Tamilnadu Domicile, you can participate in Tamilnadu's State Counselling. But if you do not have their Domicile, you need to apply through All India Counselling. Tamilnadu has the best of the Medical Colleges in India like Christian Medical College, Stanley Medical College, etc. Rajah Mutiah Medical College usually has the least cut offs. In 2019, the individual cut offs increased by 70-100 marks on an average. But the State Government is planning on adding 1650 more MBBS seats in the coming years. But your admission totally depends on your NEET score, Category and rank in the merit list. You can check our page for previous year's cut offs at: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-tamil-nadu . And cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no,of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For any guidance during counselling and admission, you can use our MBBS Companion: https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion .
