Dear aspirant,
As you mentioned you are from core category and now you want to shift to non core category so i would say that it would be difficult for you considering you are from core background.
I would recommend you to develop the skill set required to deal with cyber security . Do some courses in udemy or Coursera and try to learn from those courses and do some projects on it.
