HI i AM APPEARING FOR NEET 2025. Suggest i need to choose between BAMS and B PHARMA. Which one is better for Career . in terms of eanning and growth path options. If i dont go further for own practice.
If you're choosing between BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and B. Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy) for career growth without private practice, B. Pharma may offer better opportunities. It provides roles in pharmaceutical companies, research, regulatory affairs, and drug development , with good prospects in India and abroad. BAMS can lead to careers in healthcare, government sectors, or academics. In terms of salary and career progression , B. Pharma offers stability and broader industry options, making it a preferred choice for those not interested in clinical practice.
Hello,
Here’s a comparison of BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) vs. B. Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy) for career growth and earnings if you don’t want to start your own practice:
BAMS :-
- Earnings : Rs. 25,000–60,000 per month initially in hospitals, wellness centers, or government jobs.
- Growth : Can work in Ayurvedic hospitals, research, or teaching.
- Job Stability : Government jobs available with better security.
- Limitations : Private jobs may have slow salary growth without further specialization.
B.Pharma :-
- Earnings : Rs. 20,000–50,000 per month initially in pharma companies, sales, or hospitals.
- Growth : Can move into research, regulatory affairs, or high-paying marketing roles.
- Job Stability : Private sector dominance; better for corporate careers.
- Limitations : Higher salaries require MBA or experience in pharma marketing.
So, the conclusion comes out to be :-
- Choose BAMS if you prefer healthcare, government jobs, or teaching.
- Choose B. Pharma if you want a corporate career with higher long-term earning potential.
Hope you find it useful !
