Hi Eahatesham! It is nice to see that you are deciding about future studies well in advance. Now, to choose for your further studies, it solely depends on your interests. Guidance towards particular streams could be provided by elders and teachers, but the right decision needs to be undertaken by yourself by thinking and researching the available options in the market. Now, as far as today's competitive world is concerned, the world is digitizing at a rapid rate, so it is assumed that students must be digitally active and thus, courses in IT sector is preferred by many. Computer is bound to take over the jobs, so it is preferable that we too keep up with the pace. You could refer many articles given in the internet to get some insights on today's market and it's change in recent years. Having some computer-based knowledge would be really helpful once you start to choose further courses in the future, as every job sector is taken over by computer and computer-based sources. Thus, it is just a suggestion you could look for. But, the decision solely depends on you and your goals in life. Acquiring programming skills may give you an edge among other candidates. You must be well-versed with at least 2-3 languages, such that it may be a great addition to your career inventory. Also, it is presumed that one must be able to solve the problems with high-level languages with minimum error. Doing the tasks before the deadline adds stars or good rating, which would be referred to higher officials. So, it is seen that acquiring just technical knowledge is not enough in today's competitive world, mainly in the IT sector. Updation is also required. Using outdated techniques of algorithms aren't preferred or likened by your higher officials, which may affect your pay scale. Thus, salary is credited by seeing your technical and non-technical skills evenly. As you are new admission in B.E, you might feel some difficulty in coping and grasping with new concepts of other streams, but you must rightly choose the branch depending on your interests.
