For doing law course, you need to do LLB course which is a bachelor's course and a Master's course in LLM. For getting admission into the top law colleges in India, a National level entrance examination of CLAT is conducted. The score of CLAT is accepted over many prestigious institutes and some universities conducts their own entrance examination for admission into the course. Hi! Your first step in pursuing Law after 10 will be to take up a stream which is much more oriented towards Law that is Arts/Humanities.However please note that a student can pursue Law after class 12 irrespective of any stream.
Secondly, a very important aspect of planning a career in law after class 12 in India is the national level entrance exam called CLAT.
CLAT or the Common Law Admission Test is an all India test. Based on the exam scores students are awarded seats for law courses in the National Law Universities across India. There are 21 NLU's (National Law Universities) that participate in this entrance test and conduct it every year on rotation basis. The universities are namely:

After 12, you can apply for CLAT entrance exam as it for 5 year integrated law course which is BA LLB. CLAT exam is conducted once in a year and so your preparations must be good enough to get the admission the same year so that you don't have to wait for a year more.So it would be quite good for you to start preparing for your entrance exam from class 11 onwards if you are planning to appear for CLAT entrance.
Thirdly, in order to pursue Law after class 12 having a knowledge about the basic courses and degrees offered under Law will help you in the process of further decision making .
In India, legal education has been traditionally offered as a three years graduate degree. However, now most of the Law colleges offer a five-year integrated B.A. LLB/BBA LLB courses etc. One can either pursue a three-year law course (LLB) after graduation in any discipline or a five-year course after 12th standard examinations. LLB course is sponsored by the Bar Council of India. This consists of two years, the third year will enable a student to earn an LLB degree.
