Hi! Your first step in pursuing Law after 10 will be to take up a stream which is much more oriented towards Law that is Arts/Humanities.However please note that a student can pursue Law after class 12  irrespective of any stream.

Secondly, a very important aspect of planning a career in law after class 12 in India is the national level entrance exam called CLAT.

CLAT or the Common Law Admission Test is an all India test. Based on the exam scores students are awarded seats for law courses in the National Law Universities across India. There are 21 NLU's (National Law Universities) that participate in this entrance test and conduct it every year on rotation basis. The universities are namely:

Chanakya National Law University, Patna (CNLU)

Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam (DSNLU)

Dharmashtra National Law University, Jabalpur (MPDNLU)

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (RMLNLU)

Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (GNLU)

H.P. National Law University, Shimla(HPNLU)

Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU)

Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLU)

Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai (MNLU)

After 12, you can apply for CLAT entrance exam as it for 5 year integrated law course which is BA LLB. CLAT exam is conducted once in a year and so your preparations must be good enough to get the admission the same year so that you don't have to wait for a year more.So it would be quite good for you to start preparing for your entrance exam from class 11 onwards if you are planning to appear for CLAT entrance.
