Hi I am not sure about what to pursue as my my engineering disciple . I am confused whether I should go for chemical engineering or cs
Dude chemical engineering contains very little chemistry (yes you heard it right). It's all about scaling up the products which involves complete engineering with good knowledge of mathematics, physics and a little bit of chemistry. The difference between a chemist and a chemical engineer is that chemist makes chemicals on lab scale whereas a chemical engineer does that on an industrial scale which involves many engineering problems( such refining of crude oil to get petrol, diesel, etc through large distillation columns). If you love physics and maths you will manage chemical engineering very well, on the other hand, if you don't have any interest in coding then you will find difficulty in computer science. Moreover let me tell you the most important thing, you must have heard about Gate exam; for chemical engineering there is very little competition (15000 candidates appear every year in Ch) ,on the other hand in cse the number is in lakhs and the competition is very tough. You must decide very carefully. I was once in your stage too, got admission into a not so good college, regretted in initial years, but gradually I started loving chemical engineering, my current situation is that I am very much positive about building a great career in my field.
Whatsoever field you chose, you must develop passion for it with no regrets.
Hii...
If you like chemistry than go for chemical engg. The maths in computer science and chemical engg. will be of same level as far as you don't intend to go into higher studies. In B.Tech level of maths is same in chemical and CS but if you opt for higher studies than You have to prepare for maths in CS.
Rest is totally depend on your interest check sysllabus for both CS and chemical engineering you will know more.
Hello,
If you have interest in physics and chemistry then obviously go for chemical engineering or mechanical/electrical engineering.
For CSE,Your maths needs to be strong to build logic to implement in programs. If you have interest in programs(c,c++,java..) then go for CSE.
It totally depends on your interest.Every branch of engineering is good.
Good luck.
Hello..
If you have interest in programming (c,c++,java etc) then only go for CSE otherwise go for other options.
As you have mentioned that you like physics and chemistry so chemical engg is good but you can also go for mechanical or electrical.
