Space studies are very interesting. Mainly it depends on which part you want to study like there are two sections - one which deals with space and its particles and other that deals with technological aspects.

If you are interested in studying about space and its particles then you can either choose basic science course with Physics and Maths as major core subjects. Also, There are various sub- branches like cosmology, space science, planery science etc to do space research. There are institutes like Indian institute of space science and technology(IIST) where they provide courses completely for those interested in space science and research . For that you need to qualify IIT-JEE mains exams After 12th. You can do B.Sc- Physics and M.Sc-Physics and later You can opt for Ph.D in your interested research area in this case because you are majorly into research . you can get jobs as a research fellow in places like ISRO. here youll be regarded as space scientist or space researcher.

If you are interested in technical aspect of space research, you can gladly choose Aeronautical enggineering or aerospace engg and after your B.Tech you can carry on with M.Tech and join places where you can research on space. IF you are interested then also you can pursue PhD. Here you will most likely be learning in depth about design, development , constructing testing and science and technology of space crafts.

You can either choose between the two. Go through the syllabus of each and which is more appealing and pikes up your interest , go for that course. Hope It Helps,
