As far as I know, any person can amend his application only once in the details of the registration, including category, but before the final submission of the application. No editing can be performed until the application has been submitted. But you can change your photo and signature more than once, i.e. before each new test form, you can change your photo and signature. For example, if you have already edited your registration details once and want to alter the basic registration details again, you would not be able to do this but you can update your photo and signature before each new review form, such as ssc chsl, cgl, cpo, mts, so that you can change your photo and signature 4 times.

This doesn't create much problem if you have put your roll number right in the form. You can explain your mistake by submitting original documents. If you get chance to edit, then edit it.
