Hello Bhawya,

In order to gain admission in the course of Textile Engineering you must meet the eligibility criteria for the same.

A 10+2 pass out with minimum 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and Mathematics is eligible for B.Tech Textile Engineering.

It is a 4 year long course just like other engineering branches and is composed of 8 semesters ghat includes two semesters per year. This course is offered by many universities and both theory and elective subjects are to be studied here. You can apply for the course of textile engineering at the following colleges -

  • Anuradha Engineering College
  • DKTE Society's Textile & Engineering Institute
  • Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering & Technology,
  • SH Guru Gobind Singhji College of Engineering & Technology
  • SSM College of Engineering

However if you wish to gain admission into IITs or NITs then you have to give entrance examinations and obtain the minimum required cutoff for eligibility for the course.

I hope this helps.

All the best!!
