As you got 87.76 percentile in JEE mains, your expected rank will be 125215 - 140760. The previous years cut-off ranks for NIT Calicut in ECE stream under EWS category is 36406. Although the cut-off ranks will changes every year, the difference wouldn't be more comparitively ( may varies around 20000).
Here your expected is much farther than previous cut-off rank. So from my personal aspect this would be hard to get admission in NIT Calicut.

An EWS candidate with Rank 140000 in CRL will have a GEN- EWS Rank of approximately 14k-20k.
So the candidate has a good chance for homestate NIT. And it's also provided , the Calicut NIT cutoff for a GEN-EWS candidate under Homestate Quota for ECE is 37K.
