hi i have completed B.com from IEC University H.P I want to do law course kindly suggest which is the better one 5 years integrated Law or 3 years LLB ..and also suggest that can we do this law course in distance mode ? in andhrapradesh
First of all you need to understand the Clear difference between the two -
1. 3-year LLB is an undergraduate programme in law. This course is done only after they have successfully completed their graduation but that does not make it a postgraduate degree. In this all subjects are dedicated purely to law education. It's eligibility criteria-
Students must have passed graduation with at least 45% marks and a dmission to most of the institutes is done on the basis of entrance exams such as LSAT.
2. 5-year LLB is an integrated programme. This programme includes a graduate programme such as BA, BBA, etc. along with the core LLB degree. It includes graduation program + core law subjects. It's eligibility criteria-
students must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks.
Students willing to take admission will have to appear for exams like CLAT,AILET , SET etc
job opportunities for both the programmes are considered equivalent.
Thus as you already did B.com then don't waste your 2 years by opting for 5 years integrated course, go for 3 years LLB course.
Some colleges in Andhra Pradesh for 3 years LLB-
1. Andhra University,Dr BR Ambedkar college of law in Vishakhapatnam
2. Sri Venkateswara College of law , Tirupati.
3. NVP law College Vishakhapatnam
4. JC college of law , Guntur
