Dear Aspirant,

No. You won't be able to get any NITs or IIITs or GFTIs. Your rank is far too low even for an SC candidate. However, you should try for counseling for your state colleges. There may be a chance that you get admission in some lower branch but I would not suggest you join college which accepts such low ranks as the quality of education in such colleges is far too bad and in a professional course college matters a lot.

If you are determined to do engineering I suggest you either join some good private college like Chitkara University, Graphic Era, etc. Or you could take a drop year and prepare again for JEE 2020. Try to get your CRL under 1.5 lakh at least. That will be much more beneficial to you.

Hi Saroj, greetings. JEE Mains is the preliminary exam to obtain seat in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs across India. Your rank of 34k in SC category and CRL 478k is unlikely to get you a seat in any of the NITs or IIITs. But please don't lose hope, participate in the Josaa counselling and  do sit in the spot round, you might get a seat. Thank you.

Hi ! With your general category rank you will get nothing. So try to apply counselling with your sc rank. If you apply with your sc rank then also getting a nit or IIIT or GFTI is tough to get. You can only get through your rank is nit Manipur with worst branch. Same for IIIT. For GFTI leave bit Mesra. So hope you understand and best of luck to you. I regret to inform you that with such a low score you cannot get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits.



As Nits or iiits are one of the most sought after college in feild of engineering so they have high cutoffs for the candidates to get admission. Even considering lower nits for sc candidate their closing cutoff goes maximum to 6k or 7k for non core branches.
