hi, I was a student of wb board and my pcb percentage is hs was 61% and got 22 in physics theory and pass marks in our board in theory was 21. But in CBSE, it was 23. So, will the eligibility criteria for me in NEET be decided as per our board or as CBSE ? Am i eligible ?
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Your passing marks will be as per your west bengal board and not cbse board , so with 22 marks in physics theory you are pass in physics theory
Now ,let us see Neet eligibility criteria to decide whether you are eligible or not.
Neet eligibility criteria says that to be eligible , in your 12th exam you must have passed individually in
- Physics,
- Chemistry,
- Biology/Biotechnology
- English
50% marks taken together in PCB in your class 12th board examination if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories .
Now , your aggregate percentage is 61 percent which is greater than 50 % so you satisfy the above criteria of neet so Yes you are eligible for neet examination with your class 12 marks
Also to be eligible for Neet 2020 you need to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December , 2020 .
Thank you
