Hello Akash,
Hope you are doing well.
B. Arch also called a Bachelor of Architecture is a 5-year degree course while B-tech in Civil Engg. will be a 4-year degree course. Although the course content for both are similar they also have certain differences.
The college from where you pursue the course is also important. Although civil Engg. has recently been in the decline but still civil Engg. graduates from IITs and good NITs do get placed with handsome packages.
While B.Arch graduates do get placed with well off packages also. In IITs like Kharagpur and Kanpur, the maximum salary for B.Arch sometimes competes with that of CS and ECE graduates.
I have a friend of mine who is in IIT Kharagpur, B. arch and the maximum package that they received in 2017 was 27 Lakhs per annum, which is very handsome.
Generally, it happens that B.Arch graduates get placed in overseas companies while civil graduates get placed in some government companies.
Overall speaking I would suggest choosing B.Arch over B.Tech in civil but you also have to remember that B.Arch course is longer and more tough than that of B.Tech Civil.
Hope this helps you to get a better understanding of the courses and help you to choose wisely. Good Luck!
