Hi I'm a bsc student I'm preparing for iit jam exam for mathematics.. Can I get suggestions for how can I prepare better, and about books?
Go through the syllabus thoroughly and check which topics you have studied in college and which you have not. This will give you an idea of how much time and energy you need to give to a particular topic.
Next I would suggest you to study from the basic books that are referred in your college syllabus. The book suggestions are:
- Group Theory: Gallian
- Real Analysis: Bartle and Sherbert
- Differential Equations: S.L. Ross or Edward- Penny
- Linear Algebra: David C Lay and Friedberg
- Integral and Vector Calculus: M.J. Strauss
- Differential Calculus: M.J. Strauss
One important thing is that you should solve all the questions from the previous year papers. This will help you to understand the pattern of the paper.
Join any online test series and keep practicing. This will help you to manage your time for the exam.
All the best!
