hi I'm am planning to choose IIT Roorkee metallurgy ..but i have one doubt will i be able to sit in non core companies?..after learning coding and all.??

Hi,
The Placement criteria mostly depends on company. Many Technology Companies may set criteria that students from CSE and IT can only apply for them while many also have no such pre requisite. Companies like Microsoft, Google , Facebook have no such criteria. Any student can apply for their placement exams. However sometimes, College can itself impose restrictions on other branch student although that happens very less often.. If you know coding then definitely you have better chances of getting good package.
