You can get into 2nd year direcrly through lateral entry scheme at PSG.

There are two ways to join as a lateral entry student :

1. After diploma you can apply through counseling which will be conducted at Alagappa Chettiyar University, Karaikudi. Counseling call depends on your diploma final year percentage. If you received a call for the first day counseling or topped with a rank of at least below 10, you're almost have a chance to get a seat at PSG Tech.
Your final year percentage should be more than 96 if you're a general category applicant. For BC/MBC it should be more than 94%. For SCA/SC/ST more than 92℅ is enough.

2. Through management quota. Fees for this entry may depends on the branch of engineering.

Applications for lateral entry admissions will be issued at all Government engineering colleges in all districts.
