hi, is jee main going to help me if i want to study physics (and later astrophysics) from the best institutes in india like IISC bangalore?

hi,

yes you can study in iisc for bsc courses. admission can be done through jee advance or kvpy entrance test. to appear in jee advance you need to qualify in jee main exam. you also opt for iiser (indian institute of science education and research)bs -ms courses which admission process is also done by kvpy or jee advance exam rank.
