Hello Ranjith. You can of course get into PSUs if you have really good score in GATE. Some companies which accept ECE students are:

• NPCIL- Registrations has not yet started
• Power grid- Registration is closed
• IOCL- Registration has begun. No last date for applying has been announced yet.
• HPCL- Registration has not yet begun.
• DRDO- Registration has not yet begun. It will begin in March/April
• RVNL
• NLC INDIA LTD
• CEL

The Answer is obviously Yes.

BSNL company has been a dream job for many ECE students .If you can score good marks of between 70-80 in GATE exam  you will definitely get a PSU like BSNL .As BSNL offers telecommuinaction and provides service in many more electronic departments,It will be the best choice for you.

Eventhough you are a fresher you will get a high paid salary of 50k to 70 k per month.
