Hi, like in 2022 , 75% criteria has been removed from Jee Mains as well as Jee Adv. Now my question is that whether this 75% criteria has been removed from eligibility criterion of fhese exams or from all the colleges in which we can take admission through these exams? Also 75% marks are aggregate?

Hello Aspirant,
No this eligibility criteria has not been removed from all the colleges accepting admission through JEE-Main score but the criteria has been relaxed for admission to all colleges participating in JOSAA counselling such as NITs, IITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Other colleges have their own eligibility criteria so it is recommended that before going for admission to any college just check it's eligibility criteria.
There are various colleges that accept admission through JEE-Main score but do not take part in JOSAA counselling so above relaxation is not applied on those colleges.
Such colleges are state government colleges, private colleges and some universities.
Also see if you are going to pass your class 12th examinations in 2022 then you will be eligible for JEE-Advance 2022 and 2023 provided that you qualify JEE-Main 2022 and 2023 respectively. Now if you don't appear for JEE-Advance 2022 then also your one allowed attempt will be deducted and then you will only be eligible for JEE-Advance 2023 and not for 2024.
This is because maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.
