A score of 290 by an UR candidate is not enough to get a seat in a government college for MBBS or BDS. However, you can try out for Private colleges. Keep checking Careers360.com for regular updates on the admission cut-offs of private institutions.

With a score of 290 in the general category, it becomes difficult to procure a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a score of minimum 380 was required to fetch one a seat in the Raichur medical college, Raichur in general category under the state quota. But, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats.
