Hi

I have done my schooling till 8th from a state board and then I switched to cbse and studied till 12th in cbse so I guess I can clear your doubt.

In general and also from my personal experience CBSE is much better than any state board and you should not change your child's education from CBSE to state board.

There are 3 main reasons why I am saying cbse is better :-

-) The first reason is the medium in which subjects are taught, in most of the state boards the medium of information is hindi or the regional language itself like in Maharashtra board, books are in marathi, in Gujarat board, it is in Gujarati. I had studied till 8th in jharkhand board, and teachers used to teach us in Hindi as I was studying everything in Hindi, I struggled a lot when I switched to CBSE as everything was in English and we all know today English is not just a language , it is very much required for good jobs, even for higher studies, English is the medium of information, like one cannot do Engineering in hindi or mbbs in hindi or mba in hindi etc.

-) Your child is already from cbse board and if you get him enrolled in a state board it will be totally new for him as state board are different from cbse in their pattern and they even vary from one state to another. Aso cbse is very everywhere across the country, in all the state but state boards are limited to that particular state only so even in future if you need to move to some other state due to some reason you can get your child enrolled in CBSE school but that the same is not possible with State Board as when you change the state, the state board also changes.

-) In future if your child prepare for entrance examinations of Engineering like JEE mains, jee advanced or medical entrance examination Neet then CBSE will be of great help as the syllabus for these entrance examination is basically the syllabus of CBSE class 11th and 12th but the syllabus of state boards is different, so your child will not have to juggle between the syllabus for board exam and entrance exam which is there in the case of state board.

I hope that you find this helpful

Thank you

Dear parent,

No, cbse board will be better for him. Actually in schools in every session there are some new students get enrolled.
So, if he is in class 7th then maybe due to school change he will get admission in class 7th or class 8th if he has passed his previous class. So, for getting admission in any cbse school first he must pass the screening test or admission test for a particular class.
And then if he pass the admission test, then he would get admission in that school. And he can study in cbse school. Because in future for competitive exam, the cbse board and syllabus has a good advantage.
