As you are BA student after your BA course of 3 years you can study 3 year LL.B. course . or there is another option of 5 year integrated course of BA. LL.B. and many national , state and university level exams conducted can get into law.
For 3 year LL.B. exams like DU LLB, AP LAWCET,TS LAWCET, MHCET ,LSAT and few other.
For 5 year BA.LL.B. exams like CLAT, AILET,APLAWCET,TSLAWCET, MHCET,SLAT,LSAT and many other entrance exams .

You said you are in the 1st year of B.A. you can do LL.B after you completed you B.A..
B.A. + LLB is an integrated course and is one of the most popular courses in the country as it opens up diverse employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
But as you are already in the 1st year of your B.A., you can go for LL. B. after your B.A. is completed. Different colleges conduct law entrance exams and one who cracks that exam can join LL.B.

Yes, you can do law even you are BA student of 1st year but there are two options to do as such you after finishing your BA go for the state level entrance test accordingly and get into different universities for three year LLB course and the other option is that you can attempt the examination of CLAT and there after you can have your integrated course of BA LLB OR BBA LLB or much more specifications as such.
