Hi sir ..if i have got more than 60% in 12 but in 1 sub. My no . Is below 60 marks ..so can i get admission in aiims collage ....
if you score less than 60 % in the optional subject than it will not affect. in case the sum of pcb and english marks less than 60 % than you can not get admission. in this term, each subject 60% is not a requirement. link for more details https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/aiims-mbbs-eligibility-criteria
Good to know you sound interested for AIIMS . For getting admission into AIIMS , you have to filter through the entrance examination first , upon qualifying which will secure you a seat in the colleges under AIIMS . Here is the eligibility criteria for the same
- The candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCB as main subjects along with English .
- The minimum marks for general and OBC category is 60% aggregate , for SC/ST candidate it is 50% aggregate and for PwD candidate it is 45% aggregate .
- Lower age limit should be 17 years .
- Under reservation , 15% seats are reserved for SC category and 7.5 for those of ST category . And for those belonging to OBC , 27% reservation is provided .
The question paper will have 60 questions each from biology , physics and chemistry respectively . Apart from this 10 number of questions under general apptitude and 10 number of questions under logical thinking . So apart from the general academics you have to have knowledge on various field , general issues and aptitude . AIIMS practice papers are also available that will give you a wide idea before you sit to appear for the final examination . Try to finish the practice test within the prescribed time i.e. 3 and half hours .
