State Bank of India (SBI) prescribes SBI Clerk eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification and nationality. Candidates who fulfills the Eligibility Criteria are only considered for the Recruitment process.
Any graduate candidates between 20 and 28 years can apply for the exam. Candidates age must not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04. 2021, 0,i.e, candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04. 1993 and not later than 01.04.2001 (both days inclusive).
Amongst various provisions made for a reserved class, age relaxation is one of the factors. Candidates belonging to reserved category have age relaxation based on the category they belong to.

Since you have not mentioned your category, assuming it to be general you cannot write SBI clerk exam in 2022 as the State Bank of India has set the age limit eligibility for applicants between 20 to 28 years as on April 1, 2022. However if you belong to reserved categories you can have a chance as they have been given age relaxation as per the rules set by the SBI. The age relaxation for various categories is mentioned below:

Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands & who are not remarried
7 years (subject to the maximum age limit of 35 years for General/ EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ ST candidates)

T he age wise eligibility criteria for SBI Clerk Examination is as following-
Age limit- 20 to 28 years (age relaxation for reserved category)
So since you have turned 28 this year only, you would not be eligible for the examination next year if you belong to unreserved category .
The age relaxation is provided to the reserved category candidates as per the rules of the Government of India
• SC/ST - 5 years
• OBC - 3 years
• PWD ( UR/EWS) - 10 years
