Hello,
you can get a lateral entry in Btech in any branch in any college.For top notch like IIT AND NIT you have to give exam while you can get direct admission in private colleges.

Yes, you can apply for B.Tech through lateral entry; a course of 3 years under any branch you wish by giving your applications and documents to the college you wish to get admitted in and follow their admission procedure.
