Hey there
Autonomous college is a college which works independently without being under the control of a university. In other words the word autonomous means without outside interference. The college sets its own rules and follow them. The college also sets its curriculum and decides when exams will be done. The full form of AICTE is All India Council for technical Education which approves colleges for offering recognised courses and to promote development of the education system in India.
Hello,
I hope you are doing fine, Any good college should be recognized by AICTE whether autonomous or not. Autonomous colleges are colleges which have their own administration rules rather than being affiliated to some University. When an institute is autonomous, they can design their own curriculum based on employability of students in industry and update their syllabus quite often. Autonomy gives a college the freedom to conduct exams and follow their own curriculum
I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.
Good Luck
