Dear Kunal, in 2018, the cut offs for shortlisting for IIM-K for various Categories are as follows:

CAT Score Sectional X Class XII Class
Percentile Percentile % %
GEN 90 80 60 60
OBC NC 80 70 60 60
SC 65 50 55 55
ST/PWD 55 40 55 55

Now those Candidates who have selected IIM-K and fulfil this criteria should register themselves. Only successfully registered Candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds which are WAT and PI based on Aggregate Index Score. The Aggregate Index score os calculated as follows:

CAT 2020 Index Score: 75%
Class XII Percentage: 20%
Academic Diversity Factor: 5%

And the final Composite score is calculated as follows:

CAT 2020 Index Score: 40%
PI: 30%
Essay: 20%
Resume: 10%

So if you can manage to get 99.5% in CAT amd do well in WAT and PI, you can get a seat in IIM-K

Hello,

Though your marks are goods but it takes a lot better probably above 90% in boards is equally important.

And for CAT you will have to get 99%ile anyway in order to improved your chances if getting call from top IIMs.

I hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,

I am here for helping you....

as per your doubt I am clarifying you that for having admission in IIM Kozhikode you need to score very good in your class 10th and 12 also in your CAT examination so, if we consider the cutoff of the current year then it was 90 percentile overall in CAT exam and 80 percentile in CAT sectional exam, 60% in your both class 10th and 12th for a general category student..

Ok if you want to have admission or want a call from IIM k then question is that how much you need to score in your CAT examination when you score 74% in your class 10th and can score 85% in your class 12th so I will suggest you to score near about 90 percentile overall in your CAT exam as a general category student and you may have some relaxation if you belong to other categories  so that you could be secure and your chances can be  in your favour.

for more details you can go on the link which I am providing you below:

I hope it will be beneficial for you....

As you know very well for taking admission in IIM your 10th, 12th and cat  scores are  considered,
So it should be your first goal to achieve as maximum as possible for you..
if your basics in class 10th and 12th are cleared then you may definitely score best in CAT examination but you need to do little bit more buckle down for this....

Hii Kunal

seems you have not appeared for 12 boards  so try to aim high in 12 and along with your 10 and 12 marks  according to the eligibility criteria to appear in CAT you should have at least 50% in your bachelor's degree for general category and 45% for other reserved category, for getting call from IIM K aim above 95 percentile in CAT

Thank you
