Taking laptops to college really depends on the subjects you have in that particular semester. Subjects like E-Commerce and Computer applications in business need computer or laptop. If the need of the subject is usage of laptops then you will have to take them to college. Normally, there are computer classes and those subjects are taught over there. If you have a presentation in class, you may need a laptop to present in class but even in that case you need not take laptop to college as you can transfer your presentation in a pendrive. Colleges and departments provide laptop for presentation. You can check with them and confirm. If there is no facility like that, you will have to take your laptop to college otherwise it depends on the subjects you select or get.
