If your son has given class 10 and 12 examinations from Karnataka and or you have a residential in Karnataka for more than 8 years your son is eligible for the 85% quota of Karnataka irrespective of whether he has done his class 8 from USA or not

otherwise you can access the medical college seats of Karnataka wearing the 15% all India quota if a gives it has one of its 15% all India quota choices but the ranks and marks even required for admission to the medical college seats of Karnataka availing that will be definitely higher than what you would require for the state quota
