Out of the two, I would say Chandigarh University is the wiser choice. With a practical approach towards the degree, the curriculum focuses on experiential learning. Apart from this, the placement record of the University is exemplary. Around 122 companies visit the campus just for CSE placements. The University also lets its students sit for inter-disciplinary placements. For the year 2018-2019, the highest package for CSE was 31.77 lakhs from the E-commerce giant Amazon. Other companies that visit the campus include Cognizant, Microsoft, TekSystems, Sap Labs, Hewlett Packard, Bank of America, NOKIA, Deloitte, IBM, DELL, etc.
The University also provides semester exchange programs in collaboration with 200+ international universities.
My answer is Chandigarh University. Right choices made at the right time are important and helps in future. Chandigarh university offers varied courses and all are very well managed. Computer Science engineering (CSE) being one of them. CSE deals with design, implementation, and management of information system of both software & hardware processes. A computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and design of computational systems.
Pursuing Computer Science & Engineering from an institute like CU gives one an extra edge and altogether a different experience and exposure. It caters with thriving research environment, advanced industry sponsored infrastructure and stimulating teaching aid. Our program covers all fundamental as well as advanced concepts of engineering and computing, paired with a chance to gain exposure in emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Mobile Computing, and Open Source and Open Standard.
Hi Bindu
There is no such difference between both the universities.
Departments of computer science engineeringin both the universities are good in terms of placements .
Both the college's have this big issue of 75% attendance.
Chandigarh University has specialised faculty in cs department . CSE is a trending branch and is one of the best performing branch of University.
CSE placements are also good. All the good companies like Amazon, Infosys, dell, cognizant etc are regular recruiters of Chandigarh University. Faculty members are well educated.
But one drawback of this University is its crowd. CS department is overcrowded , because of which there is tough level of competition to grab good placements.
Whereas chitkara University is also a great place to study. You'll have lot of companies to choose from , it has good placement record.
Labs are not in good condition and University has certain restrictions in related to uniform, attendance etc
But CS department gives great exposure, faculty is good, placements are good.
Both the universities are good, but both of them have certain disadvantages as well. On common thing between both the universities is good placement.
So you need to do hardwork and practice in order to get a good company.
All The Best!!
