Dear Anu, when a Candidate writes an Entrance examination like NEET in 2019, it is for the Academic year 2019. The first year would be considered as 2019-20. Now if the same Candidate writes NEET 2020, this is for admission from the  academic year 2020 going ahead. Now NEET was already held in 2019 and the admissions have been completed and classes have begun for the year 2019-20. Now that remains unchanged. And whatever changes are being discussed as cancelling AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS in favour of NEET 2020, will be implemented in 2020 from the Academic year 2020-21. Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Yes, the NEET examination will only be the national level Medical entrance for allocation of MBBS seats across India from 2020-2021. The AIIMS and JIPMER examinations that are conducted along with NEET for providing Medical seats till date are cancelled as per the instructions from central government. From now on only NEET will be the common examination for medical courses.

NEET will be common entrance test for admission to MBBS Course from 2020.

Till 2019-2020, there was NEET and AIIMS and JIPMER conducted their own entrance test. But, this is going to change from 2020 onwards.

So, to answer your question, NEET will be common entrance test for 2020-2021 onwards.
