There are several IITs and NITs where you can apply like:

IIT Mumbai(design engineering ,cut off -540(gen))

IIT kharagpur (mechanical system design , cut off - 700(gen))

NIT warangal (machine design ,cut off 700(gen))

There are several interdisciplinary branches at IITs .If you are unable to get one you selected you must apply to other .
