As you have opted for basic maths and now you want to change to standard maths then i would like to tell you that kindly ask these queries to your school because they are the rightmost person to guide you in this matter.

Secondly, it also depends on your school whether they would allow you to change your subject or not. In most cases you need to talk to your principal at your school because he/she holds the topmost position at your school.

In 10th cbse board, there are 2 options for maths.

----------)   Standard maths :- it is for those who want to study  maths after 10th like those who wants to have science with MATHS i. e PCM for 11th and 12th.  Also, they are free to choose any stream like science with pcm/pcb, commerce or even arts.

----------) Basic maths :- it is for those who don't want to study maths after 10th like those who wants to science with Biology i. e PCB,  commerce , arts etc in 10+2.

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but now you cannot change your basic math to standard math this is because your CBSE class 10th term 1 examination has already been conducted and in that you would have given basic maths examination and soon within a few months you will have your term 2 board examination of class 10th and thus now nothing can be done to change it. No, you can opt PCM for 11th and 12th because for the same you should have chosen a standard maths.

After 10th , one can go for following options :-

One has to choose any one of science  Commerce , Arts/Humanities streams.

---------------------------)  Science :-  The science stream can be further divided into 3 groups depending upon the subjects one chooses

• ******  Non medical  :- Science with PCM i.e physics, chemistry , maths group. There's no biology in PCM group.

One should basically choose this if they want to pursue engineering/architecture etc in future.

† †† with basic maths you are not eligible for PCM dear, you are eligible for PCB, commerce and Arts etc

• ******  Medical  :- Science with PCB i.e  physics, chemistry biology.

You should choose PCB group if you want to get into medical field like mbbs, bds, nursing etc in future .

--------------------------)   Commerce   :- You get to study subjects like Accounts, Business studies, Economics & Maths ,Commerce etc. If you want to become a chartered accountant, company secretary, financial advisor etc in future, then commerce is for you. In commerce you acquire commercial knowledge required for business.

---------------------------)   Arts   :- If you like subjects like history, polity etc then you can go for Arts. You get to study subjects like History, Geography, Literature, Political Science, economics etc. You should go for arts if you aspire to get into Journalism, literature,languages, history, psychology etc.

>>>>>>>   Polytechnic / Diploma :   - After   your 10th you can go for diploma courses in various branches of Engineering like mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc on the basis of your interest.

>>>>>>>    ITI    :- ITI is a skill development course which you can go for after your 10th , you can do iti any trade of your choice like Electrician, fitter, Welder etc.

Now, out of all these options which should you go for depends upon:-

For example,

You should choose PCB science if you want to become a doctor, you should choose commerce if you want to be a banker or an accountant, you should choose arts if you want to become a journalist or you are interested in literature etc. So, it all depends upon your interest and what do you want to become in future so take your time and decide.
