Recruitment for Sub Inspector is done at central level such as SSC CPO or even in state wise, but the eligibility criteria remains the same Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, for instance if you see UP Sub Inspector Exam, it has General Hindi, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude. So, in majority of government exams or even banking exams quant and reasoning sections remain mandatory, the level may vary, for instance banking exams level are comparatively higher, if you have a basic understanding of the concepts(topics provided in the syllabus), with rigorous practice you'll definitely be successful, so choose according to your preference, if you have other plans than SI, for instance in the field of commerce, if you've other aspirations such as CA or CS, higher studies, you can go ahead with BCom.
