Greetings Anjali!
Hope you're doing great.
Delhi University has many affiliated colleges and broadly divided into east, west, north and south campuses. It's hot to know you want to pursue Journalism course but it would be difficult for you to break into creamy colleges in north region i.e Stephen's College, LSR and many others. The reason is that they have very high percentage cutoff which is almost above 95% even during the last round of admission. You have a shot at many other colleges in the eastern region which is pretty decent as well. For example, Maharaja Agrasen College gives a B.A(Hons) degree in Journalism. It has the best infrastructure among pioneer Delhi University affiliated colleges.
Moreover, if you inclined to Journalism and want to pursue a master in the same domain then I'll suggest you should go to Delhi School of Communication. It's also affiliated to the University of Delhi and offers 5 years integrated BA+MA in Journalism. The course has started recently but attracting the best of the minds already. Do give it a shot.
Hope this will help. Do reach out in the comment section below if you need any help.
All the best! :)
Its very difficult to get admission with 77% but hope for the , wait for the cut of list, also if not this , then you can try some other good colleges .
The cut-off for all the courses from Delhi University is very high. The procedure is very simple they take into consideration your best 4 subjects including one language and three other subjects. You can wait for for the cut-off list from tier C/D colleges for admission.
Hello Anjali, For B.A (hons) in journalism the eligibility criteria is, the candidate should have scored an aggregate of 45% marks and must have passed the English lanuguage in qualifying examination. And for five-year course integrated course in journalism- An aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination determined on the basis of all five subjects offered in the qualifying examination.
