Hii, I want to know if I can change my branch in my college from mechanical to computer ( I am in 1st year ) and if yes than Whatthe process

Yes you can surely change your branch of the subject but first of all you have to tell about the college in which you are studying currently we may surely guide you with the information of further procedure. We are always welcome you!!

I am from Gujarat . I am studying in GEC Rajkot in mechanical branch and I want to change branch to computer in my college after first year . There are many similar questions ask in this site and there ans are yes but I don't know how to change my branch.where to go ?. I am very much confused .so please help me out .

Students are eligible to apply for change of branch only after completing first two semester of the course. The following rules are applied:
1. In first year, after the last date of admission but before the submission of enrollment form to the university, the branch change shall be made on the basis of merit (from within the category) of entrance examination subject to ordinance X.1.2. This shall be done at college/institute level and the same shall be informed to the registrar of the university.
2. Maximum number of students permitted to change of branch shall be 25% of the students enrolled in the first year in the respective branch(s), a student with 60% or higher marks in first year without carryover papers and has passed all the subjects in one attempt shall be eligible for branch change.

Okk, so where should I go now to fill the branch transfer form? Where I can get the form because GTU does not have any such portal in there website .
