Karnataka Common Entrance Test, also known as KCET, is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). This entrance exam is organised to provide eligible candidates admission to different undergraduate courses in Karnataka. The examination is also called Karnataka CET, Kar CET or K-CET.
By cracking KCET exam, candidates can get admission into both Government, State-Government Colleges and Private colleges. Through this entrance examination, candidates are offered admission into numerous full-time Engineering, Agriculture, Medical, Agriculture, Pharmacy courses.
Candidates should have studied and passed either 1st and 2nd year Pre-University Examination or 11th and 12th standard examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government and that either of the parents should have studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of time.

KCET is Karnataka Common Entrance Test which is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) once in a year.
The exam is of 1 hour 12 minutes duration. In order to appear for KCET B.Tech exam, you need to pass 2nd PUC/Class 12/equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
You must have one of the optional subjects like Biology/Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Electronics/Computer Science with a language subject English. No minimum marks is required for General and reserved categories. You must also be a citizen of India. In order to appear for KCET B.Pharma exam, you need to pass 2nd PUC or Class 12 exam with PCM or PCB subjects.
Minimum marks required for general category is 45%.
