Hello candidate
I hope you must be doing well. Stay safe. Firstly Congratulations for your outstanding performance at your examinations. Yes you are right that medical admission is completely based on the neet marks. In certain colleges eligibility criteria may differ which affect the admission of low percentage candidate. It is mandatory for all colleges to be qualified in intermediate with an aggregate of certain percentage which is mentioned in the eligibility criteria.
thanks.
The class 12th Boards marks does not have any impact on the medical aspirant's position in the merit list of the medical colleges.
The only criteria that a candidate need to fulfill :
- The candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
- The candidates belonging to General Category should score a aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Class 12 or HSC examination.
- Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (OBC) should score a aggregate minimum of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Class 12 or HSC examination.
- For persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs, a minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required in aggregate across Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The same goes for AIIMS, JIPMER , JEE. 12th Boards marks are not helpful in fetching you the entrance seat. But you need to score a decent percentage in your boards to fulfill the required criteria of that particular exam to be able to appear for the said exam.
